Hi, I am Sasha. Welcome to AleksVFX.com, my personal presentation.

I am an American VFX supervisor, Lead/Senior Flame Artist (damn good in Nuke, too) based in Amsterdam, NL and New York City.

During my almost two decades of experience on top visual effects productions for both broadcast/streaming and feature films I’ve been in creative leadership positions at top post houses around the world. From blockbuster movies sequence supervision and digital compositing artistry (Wolf of Wall Street, Men in Black 3, Cop Car and many more) to leading finishing teams on Super Bowl commercials (Carnival, Mountain Dew) and superstar music videos (Stevie Wonder, Ariana Grande, Black Eyed Peas), the experience and diverse ability I acquired during years of creative work covers a very wide range.

For the past few decades, I built an industry reputation of reliability and ability to deliver imaginative and original VFX solutions on limited deadlines and equally challenging budgets. Being a versatile artist I’m often tasked with managing small and large VFX teams, and leading projects – a trait that allowed me to get pretty darn good in both commercial and feature film VFX work which is not that common.

My feature VFX work (link to my IMDb page) and Supervision resume has dozens of Hollywood blockbusters, such as The Wolf of Wall Street, The Proposal, Men In Black 3, G.I. Joe:Retaliation, Tower Heist and others. I was fortunate to have been working and gaining visual effects chops around many legends behind the camera, such as Rob Legato,Mark Russel, Mark O. Forker, Mike Fink, Adam Howard, and learn from the best there are, often on sets and in direct communication with creative giants like Spike Jonze, Charlie Kaufman, and many others.

In many years in broadcast/streaming I’ve lead artist and penned VFX supervision credits on hundreds of works for clients such as BBDO, McCann, Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett and many more. I had the pleasure to lead projects for some of the true industry’s greats such as Dante Ariola, Adam Berg, Noam Murro, and Tom Kuntz, and working for a variety of brands such as Mercedes, DirectTV, General Electric, Verizon, NFL, Absolut Vodka, AT&T, Sprint, New Balance, Carnival, Jose Cuervo, to name a few.

I was very fortunate to have worked at many top tier facilities around the world in a variety of roles – as a Lead Flame Artist and  compositing supervisor, project lead and finishing (2D) department head. For more details head over to my LinkedIn profile.

I’m also one of the founding board members of the Visual Effects Society‘s New York section, and a member of AMC (Association for Machine Computing), organizers of Siggraph.
